Ragged Trousered Commemoration

Colleagues,

Apologies for the relatively short notice on this. As part of the Liverpool's City of Culture festivities the city is also playing host to events that celebrate the publication of the socialist classsic The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists.

Follow this link to the PCS site to get more details:

And apologies to PCS activists Paul and Mike in the North West who alerted me to this weeks ago. If anyone gets to attend an event please let me know how you got on.

Cheers

Ian

Ian,

So, Liverpool's celebrating being a city of culture? The period of festivities won't be lasting that long then.

Alan,

That's a bit unfair, and worse could be said of your patch in Stoke on Trent.

Get yourself along to the PCS events and discover what it was was that encouraged working class women and men over a century ago to build our movement.

I'm sure that even you will learning something!

Cheers

Comrades,

Liverpool's a great city anyway and definitely on the way up. I was there recently for a regional AMICUS/UNITE event and there's a lot of new building going on.

Will try and get to the ragged trousered events.

Cheers

Peter
