Doctorate completed (still having blog access problems)

Dear Colleagues,

I am very pleased to report that, having enrolled on a Professional Doctorate in Researching Work at London Met Univ in Sep 2011, I have now been awarded my doctorate.

I have a journal article based on my findings appearing shortly in the US journal, New Directions for Adult and Continuing Education.

There are many blog posts charting the development of the thesis, and the emergence of a critical, original theory of embodied activism.

I'll write more again in this blog during 2020. I have really struggled throughout the year to gain access to it, with no support or guidance offered by Google.

In the meantime I wish you all a splendid Xmas break and all good wishes for 2020.

Despite the disastrous election results this is no time for naval gazing or pointless post-mortems. Yes, we must reflect critically, but we must remember also that we've been here before. As Tony Benn stated, there are no final victories, and no final defeats. Just the same battle to be fought, over and over again. So toughen up, bloody toughen up.

In solidarity

Ian
